BAway is part of the LeisureFare Group which also includes Barwell Lesiure and TradeFare. LeisureFare is an independent, family run, tour operator established in 2001 by Jeremy Scott, the Company’s Managing Director.
Whilst BAway expertise is global, following earlier acquisitions the Company has particular in-depth experience in North America and Asia. In 2004 LeisureFare acquired Karin Rommel Travel – a company specialising in Overseas Trade Missions, predominately to the Far East. Later in 2005 the Company acquired Peregor Travel, a specialist in tailor-made holidays to the USA, Canada and the Caribbean. Both companies now operate under the BAway name. Today BAway specialise in worldwide tailor-made holidays for the discerning independent traveller – with particular emphasis on cruising.
In May 2008 LeisureFare acquired Barwell Leisure. Since 1970 Barwell has grown to become the world's leading tour operator to La Manga Club in Spain, as well as specialising in other exceptional destinations. For discerning independent traveller there’s Barwell Classic Resorts – a range of hand-picked luxury escapes in some of the world’s finest locations. Barwell Leisure also has a specialist groups division which focuses on a comprehensive range of travel and leisure services to a wide range of corporate clientele and with extensive experience in this particular field arranges sporting and charity events for many prestigious and deserving organisations.
TradeFare is the trade-only division of LeisureFare. Over the last 6 years TradeFare has grown significantly and now offers consolidated nett fares on over 40 airlines. Located in Regent Street in the heart of the West End, the team have between them over 60 years experience in all aspects of the travel industry.
